Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how California Driveline Inc. (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on cadriveline.com. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site remember things about your visit and let it work properly. Other technologies like pixels, web beacons, and local storage do similar things.
What we use them for
We group cookies into the same four categories you see in our cookie banner:
Strictly necessary cookies make the Site work — serving pages, keeping the site secure, and remembering the cookie choice you made in the banner. You can’t opt out of these without breaking the Site.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the Site: which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, and where they came from. We use this to improve the Site.
Marketing cookies would track your activity across sites so we and any advertising partners could show you relevant ads. We do not currently run advertising cookies on this Site; the category exists in the banner so that your choice is already recorded if we ever add them.
Personalization cookies remember your preferences so the Site feels familiar across visits.
Only strictly necessary cookies are set when you arrive. Nothing in the other three categories runs until you agree through the banner.
Cookies and embedded content you may encounter
- Webflow — strictly necessary. Our hosting platform sets cookies needed to serve and secure the Site.
- Finsweet Cookie Consent — strictly necessary. Stores the cookie choice you made so we don’t ask again on every page.
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_gid) — analytics, only if you accept. Measures site usage. - Google Maps — loaded in our Service Area section. Google may set cookies and receive your IP address when the map loads.
- Yelp / Google reviews widget — loaded in our Reviews section. The widget provider may set its own cookies.
This list isn’t exhaustive — third-party embeds can change what they set. You can always inspect the exact cookies in your browser’s developer tools (Application → Cookies).
How to control cookies
- Cookie banner. When you first visit, the banner lets you accept or deny non-essential cookies, or open Preferences to choose category by category.
- Change your mind later. Click Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page to reopen the choices.
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Search “manage cookies in [your browser]” for instructions.
- Opt-out tools. Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Digital Advertising Alliance (US): optout.aboutads.info. We also honor “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals where technically feasible.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site won’t work.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove tools that use cookies. Changes will be reflected in the “Effective date” above.
